Ken joined Sainsbury's directly from school in 1962, working at several manual stores and transferred to self service stores in and around Croydon. He held many junior management roles and several store manager positions before becoming a District Manager, moved to Savacentre as Operations Director and then back to JS as Regional Director. Ken moved to Blackfriars HO as Operations Director before retirement in 2000.
